Gordon Armstrong
Director & UEFA Coach of Armstrong Football Coaching
We are pleased to announce that Gordon will be the director for Armstrong Football Coaching, Gordon Surpassed 400 games for Sunderland AFC and is in the top ten all time appearance makers, playing in an FA Cup final and scoring a bullet header in the quarter finals against Chelsea he has gained great experience and knowledge in the game going on to play for clubs such as Burnley, Bury and Accrington Stanley.
Gordon has over 650 league and cup appearances for Sunderland, Burnley and Bury, Played in the 1992 FA Cup final for Sunderland vs Liverpool at Wembley.
Gordon will predominately overseeing sessions but will have his input and give pointers to our clients where he sees fit. He is a Uefa B Licensed Coach and is a successful football agent for the past 20 years looking after some Premier League players as well as players in all divisions of English footballer looking after numerous young players too.
James Armstrong
UEFA B Coach
Having come through the Sunderland Youth academy system he signed Professional forms at the age of 18 then followed Steve Bruce to Hull City until the age of 22, before numerous injuries halted his professional career. James also had spells at Boston United and Spennymoor Town he eventually ended up at Sunderland RCA in the Northern league where he has now taken up a coaching role with the first team. He has a Uefa B qualification and also coaches at Sunderland Rca who play in the Northern League. James has a passion for football and is dedicated to sharing this passion with the players he coaches.
Chris Armstrong
UEFA B Coach
Chris has amassed over 250 league and cup appearances playing in the Premier League directly against such stars as Cristiano Ronaldo. Also working under great coaches such as Neil Warnock and Brendan Rodgers.
Chris now works at the Sunderland Foundation as a football coach.
Amassing over 250 appearances appearing in all 4 divisions in English football, The Premier league, Championship, League one and League 2. Playing against some of the best to ever play the game and working with some fantastic coaches and managers along the way, having been involved in the game with over 20 year's experience in football for the past 2 years he has been involved with the Sunderland Foundation and very much enjoys working for them. His playing career was predominately played as a left back but also played left sided midfield and central midfield.
